While the story of “recaptivated” will be saved for another time, I need to set in order my priorities and purpose. I will start with what I perceive my purpose to be. Ultimately, the “why” of this whole thing.
I need to say at the start that my goal is not to change the world or grow famous with profound thoughts posted to the interwebs of christian thought. For years I have resisted the practice of blogging. So much of it seems questionable on so many levels.
What has pushed me over the edge and caused me to rethink this website, is my family. My own flesh and blood. I realize that my primary passion in life outside of Jesus is my family. My wife Amy and my 6 children Sophia, Meaza, Fiona, Miki, Aidan, and Ryland remain my greatest earthly love and I want them to know their Father. So, in an effort to reveal the Father to them, I am going to put fingers to keys and chronicle my hearts journey.
Secondly, I am finding myself in a position of immense responsibility with an ever growing extended family, Missio Dei. While I am not their father, it is my objective to point them accurately to the One who Is. It is my hope that I can make the Word accessible to them. My priority is to preach the famous refrain of Moses, “The word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it.”
And lastly, if in any way, what is said here can be of benefit to the meek and lowly of heart, than so be it. I wish you peace.
